We were about to miss the last bus from Sarande to Gjirokastër but Maradona manage to phone the bus driver and arranged us to get the bus. He was kind enough to come and pick us from the bus terminal for free and aways there to drop and pick us from anywhere we go for free, specially from the old town. Great hospitality. The room was very clean and big enough. very good breakfast.

The hosts are so nice and helpful, the rooms are new and beautifully done, and the location is prime -- close to the city center but not close enough to hear the noise. Highly, highly recommend!

This was the best hotel we stayed at during our ten day vacation through Albania. The staff was excellent and polite. we went during off season(mid November) and seemed to be the only guests on some days but it was still amazing. The location is spectacular, right below the castle walls and close to the bazaar and Cold War tunnels and all the happenings in gjirokastra. They also offered an amazing traditional breakfast and coffee every morning that was hand prepared when we walked in. The room was spotless and had An amazing ambience. The bathrooms had plenty of hot water. The room was temperature controlled as it was a little cold when we went so We had the heater running. The biggest plus is that they have parking on site for your vehicle, something that is precious in the small town with narrow streets and no public parking. The TV was a smart tv and included Netflix/prime/etc… overall an amazing experience, we were never supposed to stay a night in gjirokastra but we are extremely pleased we changed the itinerary and spent three nights at the rose garden hotel and it was amazing. For around 75 euros a night I do not think you will find better accommodations. If we are ever back in Albania we will make sure to stay here again.
