When I set out on my hike, he was quite worried and was sitting in front of his house when I came back telling me he would have come looking for me if I was just 10 minutes later! Then he immediately had warm dinner on the table for me even though I was his only guest as many people have been avoiding the region due to the earthquake. He also picked me up from the bus station and brought me back to the airport for a very good price! The rooms have both heating and AC.
