Did not do breakfast, it looked fine. Location great, room comfortable.. Quiet we were on first floor which we had requested, perfect. Liked the fact it was dog friendly, though we didn’t have our dog with us. Easy to get to and many eating places close by.

Great breakfast. Couldn't find any salt or pepper though, no shakers or packets anywhere. Coffee shouldn't be sooo hot. Everyone around us was saying the same thing. We couldn't drink any for several minutes and even then, it was too hot. Good coffee, just not sooo hot. The bed and pillows were very comfy. The decor of the hotel is fabulous and unique. We've stayed here before and love it. Very nice hot tub in our room.

Our booking experience was far from simple. It was with great difficulty to determine if my reservation was completed. I could not contact the front desk of the Microtel facility at which we had tried to make a reservation. Only when we arrived at our motel did we find out that we did have a reservation. Our room was very clean, however, I found the bed to be extremely uncomfortable. Could have been just me. The breakfast was muffins, bagels, yogurt, toast and cereal.

Breakfast was excellent. Their menu had changed since we stayed there last November. More variety was provided. Enjoyed the eggs, waffles, and biscuits and gravy. Nice to see this. The staff was so friendly and enjoyed chatting with them. Will definitely stay there again and highly recommend this motel.

The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, the room was not fancy but quite comfortable and super clean, and we were happy to find a working fridge and microwave and coffee maker, especially during these pandemic times. The location was convenient, and the view of Lake Onalaska across the street was a bonus. Wi-Fi was fast and reliable. We think Lake Motel offers exceptional value, and it was just what we were looking for.

The location was somewhat difficult to find, but that is not the fault of the motel management. The streets in that part of Onalaska are almost randomly located--as a La Crosse native, that is not surprising.
