Super friendly staff and loved the decor and real furniture. It was great to stay at a genuine motel not a chain. Very comfortable rooms, clean. If you need an overnight stop off of 40 this is a great place.

Cool to stay in an old Route 66 motel. Staff were excellent, bed was great. Obviously an older establishment (1959), but very up to date and a great value for the cost.

Sunset Motel was the perfect place to stay for our trip to Albuquerque for the balloon fiesta. It felt safer and quieter than trying to stay in Albuquerque and fit the Route 66 vibe of out whole trip. The owners were so kind and the whole place felt very retro and down to earth. The owner checked us in and gave us great recommendations for things to do nearby and tips for travel.

Clean quiet, motel on route 66. Sat outside our room and had a glass of wine and watched the sunset. Bagged breakfast was great.

This is a quaint motel, on Rte 66, that is furnished and decorated in the style of the 60's. The room had everything we needed and was very clean. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was a good size.

We saw the Sunset Motel on our search for a place to rest moving through Moriarty, and it is everything the reviews say it is. Quiet, quaint, like stepping back in time, with the friendliest hosts you can imagine. We would come back to Moriarty just to stay here again.
