We had a fabulous weekend. Our hosts, the Webers, are on-site and absolutely wonderful. They made us feel right at home. Even the housekeeping staff was very friendly and efficient. It was so nice having a fireplace in the room. Sure was cozy after a full day out in the cold.

I didn’t stay after seeing the state of the motel from the outside and the refusal by the staff to allow me to see the room before proceeding. I didn’t feel safe staying at the location and feel it was misrepresented when I booked it.

The place looks run down from the outside and you have to cross the road to get breakfast or use the pool and hot tub. The hot tub looked ok but the pool was pretty cloudy. The breakfast was pretty basic but definetly ok. Although the motel was old and a bit run down looking, the room was ok and clean but the bed was not comfortable. Staff were very friendly and seemed to genuinely care about their patrons.. Bare in mind this motel was quite a bit cheaper than others in the area.

Nothing in particular. Except it is located close to Lake Placid where I was assisting hikers on the NtP trail. I only stayed two of the seven days I reserved and checked out. Moved to the Bluebird hotel for the next five days. The carriage house was far less attractive than it appears on their website. The pool pictured was not available and looked like it had not been used in years. Hoping to get a refund from “Bookings” as the motel says they are responsible.

This is a well-located, newly renovated motel in Lake Placid. The lobby and rooms were designed for the social media era, but the vision currently lacks the necessary execution to be truly satisfying.

Living room and kitchen area were nice. A lot more comfortable than just staying in a motel room.

Great view of Whiteface from INSIDE the room (only backside rooms have this). The entire motel was completely renovated and is modern with a frig, Keurig w/Starbucks, big TV, nice beds, and an ALEXA which can play most any radio station or music style. Breakfast right across the street. Short drive from village strip.
