An older property but looked after very well. Trevor welcomed us on arrival and told us everything we needed to know and answered any questions we had. We spent two nights and wished we had more time.Paihia is a quaint and beautiful little town in the Bay of Islands. The motel was within very easy walking distance of the town with several resort choose from. The included breakfast was phenomenal and served right to our door right at the chosen time. We highly recommend Paihia Star Motel for value and a wonderful stay. It was well appointed, clean and friendly and the beds most comfortable! Thank you Trevor!!!

This accommodation exceeded our expectations! Originally, we were booked at an upmarket apartment that was 4x the price, decided to go for this place instead due to central location and value for money. We compared this place to our original booking and were not disappointed with our decision. The owner/manager of this property cannot do enough to ensure a great stay, working hard all day to maintain high standard, and advise on best options for tours etc. Great facilities like complimentary laundry, and 5min walk to central area & ferry wharf. We decided for a spoil and had a suite with amazing views. Clean and tidy and spacious. Located close to shops, restaurants and ferry meant we didn't need to drive for a few days. Parking space was a bit tight but otherwise well worth the splurge.

Incredible location and super friendly staff. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Balcony/Terrace with a really nice view of the waterfall and lake. Kayaks were available free of charge and staff at reception gave wonderful tips for local sightseeing. Showers also had the highest water pressure I had yet to experience - very comfortable!
