A little further out of the centre of Masterton, but that suited as an older couple who wanted a quiet weekend away from Wellington. Staff are always very helpful and pleasant and told us how to save money on our room rate, without changing the cancellation period. That was really appreciated. Rooms are very clean. Quiet neighbourhood. It is our place that we stay when we regularly visit Masterton.

The motel was conveniently located within 15 mins of the hockey turf. Both Chinmay and Pam were excellent with their communication. Nothing was every too much trouble. Was great to have access to the pool. Villa was very comfortable. And was perfect for providing a base for the players to gather. Loved the icebox in the freezer and the toilet spray in the toilets...a nice touch.

Built in 1887, and upgraded with modern fittings, while maintaining the charm of the old villa. Very conveniently laid out. Separate coffee room. Huuuuge room with a comfy bed, and (quite possibly) the best bathroom I've seen in any hotel/motel. Nice (common) lounge with a large TV and home theatre system (with Netflix). Enjoyed a nice movie and whisky after dinner in there. Alistair and Jane are great hosts. Cooked us a lovely breakfast, and were genuinely friendly folk.
