Three years ago we drove right by this place because it looked awful! Now we booked it just as an overnight stop, not expecting much, but we were beyond impressed! They had just finished renovations in the room three days prior to our stay and a lot of the property is still under renovation to improve the campground and other amenities! The rooms are phenomenal, the staff is extremely friendly and enlightening, the location is quiet with amazing private lake access (and kayaks) and I can't wait to see what it will be like once they are done fixing it up! You will not regret picking Hotel Civilia as your accommodation when staying or passing through Clearwater, it is amazing!

Lady allowed us to store our salmon in the freezer overnight, allowing us the time to purchase some dry ice, in order to safely transport them to Southern Alberta where I live! Gonna have a surf n' turf B.B.Q. block party!

We stayed only one night. Nice location next to the lake. Very nice and cosy rooms. Pleasant and helpful owners.
