Melanie at the reception welcomed us and she was very helpful, very positive and made us feel really special. A nice prosecco welcome drink was amazing! We've got an upgrade and the the room with the own sauna was just perfect! Breakfast was very good and everything was well thought till the last detail.

Nytt fräscht, snygg inredning, bra restaurang, toppenfrukost, otroligt trevlig personal. Bastun och vilrummet var superbra och toppen med garaget under huset. Fin utsikt. Jättebra restaurang i hotellet.

One of my best accommodation experiences so far. Room is well-prepared with a kettle, coffee maker, tea bags, coffees etc. Plenty of room, comfortable beds. Bathroom is also great. You are provided with everything you need. The lady at the reception is very kind, friendly and helpful. You get an afternoon tea opportunity at the lobby.

Everything was great, specially the location and the services at disposal like pool, sauna, big children room full of toys, children playground etc. The personnel was really helpful. Hotel-Gasthof Maria Plain har drivits av en familj sedan 1654. Hotellet har ett lugnt läge bland ängar och skogar, bara 250 meter från kyrkan Maria Plain, som besöks av många pilgrimer, och 10... We loved everything about Gasthof Maria Plain! We had no idea where it was located in relationship to Salzburg, but we had admired the church from the road as we came in. Imagine our surprise when we saw we were going up that hill towards the church. Parking was easy & convenient. The second surprise is that the hotel had its own charming Christmas market. The rooms were clean & comfortable, & every room had a breathtaking view. The fact that we arrived after a big snow storm just added to the beauty. It was a short & inexpensive cab ride to central Salzburg. The restaurant had a good menu, great food & reasonable prices. Breakfast was very nice. The staff were very friendly & helpful. We will be back next spring!

The place exceeded whatever expectation we had. The interiors and the surroundings are stunning. The room is clean, warm and cozy, and the bed was super comfortable. The breakfast is among the best we've ever had in any hospitality business at any level, we were actually impressed by the variety and the attention to quality for literally everything (not only cheeses, ham and fruits but also amazing teas, muesli, marmelade, bread). We had also dinner at their restaurant to try some traditional food, and again the dinner was just phenomenal.
