This really is a boutique hotel and is located in the quiet village of Lokev, but close to Trieste and to the Škocjan Caves, which was our primary destination. Lokev is small and quiet, but close to Divača where there is a train station and other services. The owners, Dajana and Boris, are two of the most delightful hosts we have ever met. And the chef prepares gourmet dinners that are a true highlight. The facility was well designed and spotless. The beds were really great and the bath was superb.

This apartment is top notch. Good location, comfortable bed, plenty of room, everything in great condition, nicely cleaned. The bathroom is large, with a large shower, and sample bottles are included. There is a microwave, dishwasher, dishes and glassware and cutlery, and even a clothes washer. When we inquired about a drying rack, Francesca offered to leave one outside of door while we were sightseeing. Speaking of Francesca, she was great to communicate with. We ended up using Whatsapp for any questions we had, and she used it to provide restaurant suggestions for us. She was even kind enough to call a few places on the Adriatic to see if they still were offering swimming since it was Oct 1. Really a joy to work with. Note, while there is no parking included with this booking, there is plenty of street parking in the immediate area. I suggest using the EasyPark app to add/change parking time in your phone so a trip to the car is not needed.
