We arrived late and asked for a recommendation for where to get coffee in the morning - woke up to a soft knock on the door with a beautiful tray of coffee, orange juice and fresh croissants. I have stayed in Kranjska before at a different hotel but the Kompas was by far the better hotel. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Everywhere was spotlessly clean . The buffet breakfast was absolutely superb with a great variety to choose from including hot and cold dishes. The hotel has a great location right next to the ski slopes so, as you can imagine, the views are stunning. Breakfast has variety of choice, hotel was very close to ski slopes and centre. Room had all amenities and was very well looked after by housekeeping lady. The staff were kind to give us detailed information on a day trip to lake Bled and surroundings as well as suggested a restaurant with famous chef who has a Michelin star, the experience of that trip made it the highlight of our stay.
