- the view - the quality of building - wooden, many windows, how well it is made inside - how it was clean - the equipment - space - the host important to consider: you should have a car/bike to explore the nearby area (very interesting with various ways to spend quality time) and accept some driving. to me it was no trouble to spend 7 mins to a shop (well equipped, good variety, choice), 20 mins to a lake, 5-15 to closest mountains, etc. it's not in a centre of bad ishl (which is a good thing anyway, the town is boring and not very nice)

Wonderful place. Nice and friendly staff. The location and the restaurant itself deserve special attention, the food is very tasty, the views are beautiful. They not only charge money for staying with dogs, but also provide a special kit for dogs. The bathroom has fragrant bath amenities. We liked the spa and relaxation area, everything was done with high quality and taste. We will definitely come again❤️

My husband, three sons and I have spent 5 happy days in St Wolfgang staying at the ancient and beautiful ‘Green House’ in St Wolfgang. The property is perfectly situated in the centre of the village, less than 1 min walk from the main market square and less than 2mins walk from the ferry stop. Surprisingly peaceful overnight. The property owner Elizabeth was charming: welcoming, cheerful and went out of her way to accommodate our arrival and departure times. The apartment we rented was clean, comfortable and put together with an eye for interior design/style. We had everything we needed: comfortable beds, crisp bed linen, plentiful towels, well-appointed kitchen area plus a stocked wine fridge to purchase from. There is plenty to do in St Wolfgang inc visiting the unmissable church, the Schafberg railway, lakeside walks to St Gilgen (quite challenging!) and Strobl (easy). On our one wet day we drove to Werfen to visit the ice caves and fortress (which was used in the movie Where Eagles Dare). We definitely want to come back to the area and would be delighted to rent an apartment in The Green House again!
