Set in tranquil surroundings with large landscaped grounds and a picturesque garden terrace with mountain views, Tongariro Crossing Lodge offers uniquely spacious rooms with historic character. A garden is featured. The staff provided exceptional guidance so that we could take stunning views of the mountains during sunset. Very high quality breakfast. Overall, exceeded my expectations in this rather remote/resource limited (to a city person at least) location.

Unbeknown to the host our Whanau live directly across the road so to find this gem was perfect will definitely come back

A daily, shuttle service is available hourly from 6:00 until 9:00 to the Tongariro Crossing & National park. Free parking is available. Everything ❤️ We had an amazing stay, staff let us check in earlier which was helpful as the weather was not nice to go on the crossing 😅 Our room was clean and had everything we needed. Also kitchen and lodge was cozy and nice to hang out on a rainy day.

Really lovely 2 bedroom chalet. Very clean with a good size kitchen.
