Lake Tekapo is 55 km from the lodge, while Glentanner is 41 km away. It was one of the most unique and comfortable places we stayed at in New Zealand. Only wish we had more time to spend there.

The Qualmark 5-star rated Matuka Lodge is 5 minutes' drive from central Twizel. It is 10 minutes' drive from Lake Pukaki. Sir Edmund Hillary Alpine Centre and the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Mount Cook National Park are within 50 minutes' drive. The lodge was absolutely incredible to stay in! Amazing views out of our room of the duck pond and the mountains in the background. Our room was spacious and well equipped, with an amazing spa bath in the bathroom. Mel was the most amazing host and made us feel so welcome, and went out of her way to help - including dinner recommendations and ten serving us breakfast earlier than scheduled due to an early start. We wish we could have stayed for longer than our 1 night!

Accommodations options include three 1 or 2 bedroom luxury villas with each with a hot tub, fireplace and drawing room. Each of the heated suites offers high wooden ceilings, sandstone floors and an elegant ensuite bathroom. The villa was much nicer than I anticipated, with its own private hot tub (maybe I missed it on the booking page, but I was pleasantly surprised). The grounds are very beautiful and you can take a walk through the woods to get to a view point for the lake.

Situated in Mount Cook National Park and offering beautiful mountain views, Aoraki Mount Cook Alpine Lodge is a 5-minute walk from Sir Edmund Hillary Alpine Centre. It offers guests 5GB of free WiFi per device, per day, a self-catering kitchen and BBQ facilities. It's a very cousy lodge. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Set 44 km from Mt. Dobson, Alice Garden offers a garden, a terrace and air-conditioned accommodation with a patio and free WiFi.

The nearest airport is Richard Pearse Airport, 95 km from the lodge. Very clean and tight. Easy to park the car. Thanks for providing useful advice for our traveling in Tekapo. We really saw the milk way in the front of the house! Amazing!

Offering rooms with a private patio, lake and mountain views and an additional room with a private patio and partial mountain views, Tekapo Heights is just 1 km from Lake Tekapo, a short stroll to the village shops and cafes'. It features free WiFi and a sunny terrace with views of the Southern Alps, Lake Tekapo and Mt John Observatory, popular for its stargazing tours. Very big bed and super comfortable. The room was clean, well equipped and big enough. The bathroom was very nice and the water super warm. We found a space for our car easily. Super quiet and relaxing. The city center was a few minutes away by car.

Three Rivers Lodge is located off the southern banks of Lake Tekapo, in the shadow of New Zealand’s picturesque Southern Alps. Floor-to-ceiling windows provide views of the lake and surrounding mountains. The room was spacious and even though it has no kitchen plates and cutlery were provided. The view from the room was great.
