We were greeted by the alpacas upon arrival and Amir was an amazing host! he even provided us with firewood to make a gorgeous fire at night. He was very responsive to our messages as well - a lovely host who gave us so many local tips and tricks. We will be coming back again! Highly recommend this unique spot, perfect for couples!

They respected our privacy and wouldn't even knock on the door to leave stuff behind when we were in the lodge! Nestled amongst a lush valley, Wairua Lodge guests enjoy free continental breakfast and free in-room Wi-Fi. Guests can relax outdoors in the hot tub or enjoy the romantic treetop bathhouse. What an amazing location, deep in the bush, overlooking a river at the bottom of the ravine. The hosts, Debbie and Ernst, were friendly and helpful. The home-made bread and honey from the bees in the back garden were absolutely delicious. Room and bathroom were spacious and comfortable. Drive to Whitianga was just over 15 minutes, so you can enjoy the best of both worlds, forest and sea.

The location was incredible, but was matched by the facilities and the hospitality of Warren and Carol. The room was excellent and we enjoyed the view so much we got take out from town and came back to eat out on the balcony. The breakfast was perfect. We really wish we could have stayed longer
