We had an amazing stay with the heartwarming family that is taking care of the eco village. We were welcomed very lovely by the host and her daughter. She served delicious Sri Lankan food and was always checking whether everything was fine. The property is really beautiful and gives the feeling of an authentic jungle stay. The huts are small but cosy and mosquito nets are already provided. Sadly we booked our safari tour beforehand but the hosts of the eco village also offer safari jeep tours so we would highly recommend to book it with them. The brother of the host was also very friendly and took care that we get to the bus station on time to catch our bus to Hiriketyia. In total we would really recommend to stay at this place and get the chance to live with locals.

The stay has all the basic facilities needed for a good comfortable stay. It's like a mini safari from the window and sitting area outside the house. I saw many peacocks running around and dancing many times a day, also monitor lizards peacefully walking by. Many monkeys and buffaloes chilling in the stream in front. Also some birds like blue kingfisher, brown capped babbler birds, parrots etc. The location of the house is great as it's very near to the juice shop, bakeries, restaurants, wine shop and bus stand. Very nice house and hosts. Highly recommend this place.

Quel bonheur d'avoir pu séjourner dans ce petit havre de paix, loin du bruit, proche de la nature, à côté d'un lac où on a le sentiment que le safari commence déjà avant l'heure. Les hôtes sont formidables, quelle gentillesse du vrai bonheur. Les chambres sont spacieuses, les repas délicieux... bref je m'arrête là. Vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés pour passer un moment hors du temps.

Where do I start? Staying at the Wadula in an exoerience, not just a stay at a hotel! The accommodation is situated in the middle of nature. This is why you're escorted by one of the brothers that own the hotel from the main road because otherwise you'd probably get lost. Think nature, think a jungle-like experience! If you're a nature lover such as myself you will love this place! The owners, Dulaj and Chamith, are the best hosts you could possibly imagine. Welcoming, all smiles, and extremely helpful. They can arrange a host of things such as transportation, packed lunches and, of course safaris in neighbouring (literally 50 metres away) Yala National Park. The safari, arranged by the brothers, comes highly recommended! We did the full day safari. Very good packed breakfast, yummy lunch and to top it all off we saw elephants and yes, the ever elusive panther! Go for it! Ask Dulaj or Chamith to arrange the safari for you! They know the best guides! As for the accommodation: you will stay in your own private beautiful bungalow. It has all the amenities such as flatscreen TV, WiFi, aircon, coffee /tea, and in the bathroom apart from shampoo, even conditioner, toothpaste etc etc. Wonderful! Each balcony has a veranda with a gorgeous view over the lake. A perfect place to relax in the evenings! If you love nature and if you love a quiet peaceful place, look no further and book the Wadula!

Doté d'une terrasse, le Tree Tops Yala est une villa située à Yala. Le parking privé sur place est gratuit. Belle architecture (mais peut-être pas si bien adaptée à la région avec ces grandes baies vitrées, heureusement il y a la climatisation ), piscine, jardin avec de nombreux oiseaux. Et surtout des personnes qui cherchent vraiment à ce que votre séjour se passe au mieux et vous préparent de délicieux repas. Nous avons goûté beaucoup de choses et les quantités servies étaient toujours trop grandes. Le parc Yala est très proche (mais n’espèrerez pas faire un petit tour à pied, on est en pleine nature) :)

Situé à Yala, le Yala Leopard Lodge offre une vue sur sa piscine extérieure, son jardin et sa terrasse. Everything is fantastic! We stayed here for two nights while going on safari in Yala with the all inclusive package. The staff at the Lodge were wonderful, and gave us everything we needed. The meals were delicious with lots of different menu options to choose from. The room was clean and comfortable with good aircon. The pool was also great. The perfect place to stay in Yala!

Saraii Tree Lodge is extraordinary, the tree houses and environment are beautiful. The staff were helpful, likeable, generous and interesting with conversations and information. The little village close by has supplies, smiles and great haircuts!
