With Ahungalla Beach reachable in a few steps, Jungle Beach Ahungalla provides accommodation, a restaurant, free bikes, a garden and a bar. We loved the combination of nature with a touch of elegance and exclusivity. Waking up in the middle of mangroves and palmtrees, hearing the sound of the ocean was just the perfect start for our Sri Lanka trip. Food and drinks were delicious!

Manthally Cabanas offers unique, handcrafted cabanas in a Jungle setting just 1.5 mile inland from the beautiful Narigama Beach and 2 miles from Hikkaduwa Beach. Everything! The cabanas and the little cute pool are made with so much love and attention to details. The yard is full of greenery, birds and life, so beautiful. But most amazing is the hospitality of Rasi, Chami and especially Anwar who always went extra mile for caring of us. The breakfast was lovely, freshly home made and varied every day. It was really hard to leave the place.

Located 400 metres from Unawatuna Beach, Unawatuna Backpacker Lodge provides accommodation with a garden, a shared lounge and a shared kitchen for your convenience. The wifi worked great, 4 minute walk from the beach. Bed and room were huge and comfortable. Host was caring and helped us secure a ride to the airport!

Featuring pool views, Samalanka Boutique Hotel in Habaraduwa features accommodation, a garden, a shared lounge, a terrace, a restaurant and a bar. Quiet, nice and brand new hotel. Stuff is extraordinary kind, the food was brilliant. If I ever meet the owner, i'm going to ask him who planned the bathrooms :) Honestly we had nothing to complain. On top area around the infinty pool was the perfect place to chill after a long day! Make sure you take a tuk tuk to the beach and go swimming with turtles, best expierence during the whole vacation!

Our stay at Ocean Pearl Cottage was absolutely fantastic. It was characterized by top-notch quality that made us feel as though we were sleeping in a hotel rather than a guest house. Our room and bathroom were all spacious, immaculate, and so pretty, with the bed being exceptionally comfortable, to the point where saying we loved it would be an understatement. I cannot say enough good things about the owner here! When Sam, the owner of this guest house, is away working on a ship for extended periods each year, his friends step in to manage the property in his absence. We were fortunate to meet Sam, who proved to be the most exceptional host throughout our 2 1/2-month trip through Sri Lanka. Sam is incredibly kind and always goes the extra mile to ensure that every aspect of your stay is flawless. The breakfast was truly exceptional. Each morning, we were treated to a diverse spread that included fresh juices that were simply fantastic. He even provided vegan options for me, which I found to be not only delicious but also greatly appreciated. Upon our arrival, I was already struggling with a dry cough, and he prepared an ayurvedic drink to help me feel better - showing his thoughtfulness and care in a way that meant a lot to me, especially because I did not ask for that. Throughout our stay, the owner was incredibly attentive and funny, always ensuring that we were comfortable and happy. We enjoyed engaging in conversations with him about life, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that we will always remember fondly. He even cleaned our room after a few days without any additional charge, providing fresh towels, and allowing us to use his fully equipped kitchen. Additionally, he offered us the use of his scooter for touring around at no cost. And that's not all - he even cooked dinner for us three nights in a row, and let me tell you, it was an absolute delight.

Best place we stayed at. Comfortable bed, fridge in the room and shared kitchen you can use, good airco, quiet, unbelievable breakfast, very sweet host,… everything you need. Great location with direct view of a great shoreline...could leave the balcony doors opens and enjoy the fresh air and ocean waves day and night- great white noise while sleeping You could take advantage of the comfort and connection to the local community and very near nightlife... a quick drive either east into the core of Weligama (or westward as well), while being in a chilled, relaxed segment of the merissa-weligama-midigama shoreline. It was peaceful, quiet and sociable with beach shacks right in front to get to know other tourists and hospitable Sri Lankans running the beachside venues, and family run restaurants next door...either side of the hotel. The staff and owners at funky sol were great and I really enjoyed the communal social elements - restaurant/bar was welcoming creating great ambiance to get to know others since the restaurant bar gets a lot of patrons from neighboring hotels. Makes You feel a part of a community from the first day. Easy to get a tuk tuk ride since there's a defacto tuk tuk stand close by - 100m from entrance. Was a great option to decompress and integrate into a local beach community

Set in Galle, ORENDA ECO LODGE & SPA offers accommodation with free private parking. Very nice and cosy , authentic accommodation. The villa has a beautiful terrace. The owners and staff are very nice , direct and helpful to the end. They were immediately helpful with any request we had. The breakfast was plentiful , they also prepared European food on our request. The pool and surroundings are very nice and peaceful. We were the only ones in the villa , so it was a very peaceful and relaxing stay. It was like having a private accommodation with private staff.
