Lots of hummingbirds, a raccoon came between 10am and 11, and a family of Capuchin monkeys came every day around 2pm. It was a lot of fun to watch them.

Delphine and Bert were consummate hosts, the breakfast extraordinary, and the aesthetic of the cabin, the pool, and the surroundings exquisite. Simple elegance, done with the refined taste of an interior designer and architect. Each choice, from the food to the furnishings to the burbling dipping pool attached to the cabin, was done with such attention to detail and with such care. We were surrounded by the sounds of nature, from the wild sounds of the howler monkeys to soothing sounds of more than a dozen different birds in the space of a few minutes (identified with Merlin, the Cornell Ornithology ID app). On one day, we were rained out of our adventure, but returned happily to the front porch of our cabin to read in the Adirondack chairs. We felt not only well-taken care of, but in the company of intelligent and worldly hosts. Passion Fruit EcoLodge merits our unconditional praise.

The garden is so beautiful, it’s like a small paradise where you can spot a lot of birds and other animals. The lodges are amazing, very spacious and cozy. The bed was very comfortable and they keep everything nice and clean for you. But we loved the deck the most. Just to sit there and be surrounded by nature is all you need. The hosts Werner and Zindi are the kindest and their kids are adorable. They make you feel really welcome. We also really enjoyed the pool, the breakfast is a must try and we loved how safe it all felt. Like a small and friendly community. If you want to visit Cahuita, this is the place you want to stay!

The property has been beautifully landscaped and is so well taken care of. Gorgeous shrubs and trees that are well established and flowering all the time. It was quiet and felt so safe and secure. The owners are so friendly, and greeted us with fresh coconuts. All the staff are warm and kind, the gardener and housekeepers were so happy and full of smiles. Every time our cabin was cleaned housekeeping would put fresh flowers around our cabin, and it was such a wonderful touch. So close (3 minutes) to two beaches and restaurants, and a short walk into the cute little town.
