It was very hot during our stay and we spent more time at the pool than the beach. Tina and Jorg put a lot of love and effort into running the place, and also made sure that my birthday was special with a couple of lovely surprises. With only 5 rooms the place is quiet and private. Our room was huge and had a very large balcony (we didn’t use it much as it overlooked a brown field, given the dry season). There is a paid breakfast that we took once and it was absolutely enough food for an entire day! Free coffee available from 7, something I appreciate very much. I thought the price was very, very reasonable, given the luxury of the accommodations. Free parking was available just outside the doors. Great A/C and wifi. The town had so many dining options that we didn’t get to try all of Tina and Jorg’s recommendations. I highly encourage you to stay here if you want to just chill out while you are in Samara.

There's a shared outdoor kitchen for all guests, air-conditioning, a cold jacuzzi, wifi and satellite TV's in each room. Wonderful experience! Holger and Natalie were very accommodating and helpful with any questions we had. The room was large, modern, and very clean. Location was super convenient and just overall a wonderful stay! Large grocery store nearby for any sunscreen or snacks and easy walking distance to many great restaurants.

Featuring sea views, Totobe Resort in Jabilla features accommodation, an outdoor swimming pool, a garden, a shared lounge, a terrace and barbecue facilities. Both WiFi and private parking are accessible at the lodge free of charge. Amazing property right on a beautiful quiet beach with hardly anybody on it. A bit of a mission to get there but 100% worth it, the staff were amazing and super friendly it is slightly rustic but the view off your deck is fantastic! The waves are fun for surfing also.

It is a short walk (10 mins) to a lovely beach. There is a nice pool on site and a good restaurant (food and drinks appropriately priced for quality - not cheap, but good). We found the stay very relaxing and have no complaints at all.

Mundo Milo Eco Lodge is 5 km from a golf course and 30 km from Las Baulas National Marine Park. Daniel Oduber International Airport is a 1-hour drive away. It was beautiful! From the first step on the property through the trees, winding down the path to your cabana is so relaxing. We stayed in the Oriental suite with an outdoor kitchen… Awesome.

Cabañas Cañas Castilla is located on the shores of Sapoa River and 10 minutes’ drive from La Cruz town. It features Orosi Volcano views and one day tours to Nicaragua.

The accommodations include a fan, safety deposit box, seating area and a dining area with a fridge. They also feature a furnished terrace with garden and river views. The bathrooms are private and have a shower and free toiletries. it’s a pearl missing in the middle of “nowhere”. so much nature, the owners so gentle. I wished I could’ve stayed longer.

Featuring free private parking, the lodge is in an area where guests can engage in activities such as hiking and cycling. Absolutely beautiful treehouse. Excellent craftsmanship. Sways in the wind with the tree. This is a beautiful place for real nature lovers. There are critters so if you don't like them, this is not the place for you.

Barra Honda National Park is 36 km from the lodge. The nearest airport is Nosara Airport, 66 km from Cabañas del Bosque. Cute, well appointed, brand new cabins as of 2022. Remote, but well stocked with electric hot plate and pot, coffee and coffee maker, and mini fridge. And a nice little pool! Definitely don't recommend driving through Hojancha unless you're up for a fairly bumpy/off-road experience. Instead, go through Santa Rita - same amount of time from Nicoya, but way smoother!

The lodge offers a seating area with a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with a hair dryer and shower. An oven and microwave are also featured, as well as a coffee machine. We were so impressed by this property. The cabana style rooms where really cool and comfortable, within a gated area so while close to the beach there aren't cars passing by. The best part about it is the pool and BBQ area - it's really spacious, has tasteful styling, and there's a hot tub! It was so inviting that we spent a night cooking and swimming there instead of going out. I'd recommend it to anyone! Bonus - we saw a couple of snakes around the room :D
