Saw lots of monkeys and birds. Went on an awesome cacao tour in the mountain. Staff was super helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great.

The lodge offers a continental or American breakfast. The place is extraordinary, at the heart of a very quiet and peaceful land of forest, with a nice view on the sea. I really recommend the chocolate tour where you can taste the chocolate of the farm in (almost) unlimited quantities. For gourmands only!

Providing sea views, Senda Cabaña Barlovento in Los Naranjos provides accommodation, a garden, a terrace, a restaurant, a bar and a private beach area. Both WiFi and private parking are available at the lodge free of charge. The relaxing atmosphere was superb. staff were extremely helpful in planning excursions and providing drivers.

Quetzal Dorado Eco-Lodge is located in Los Naranjos, only 1.5 km away from the entrance of Tayrona National Park in El Zaino. The property is an eco-friendly hostel that offers private rustic rooms with balcony and bathroom. Amazing place close to Tayrona NP. The photos on booking looked to good to be true, but they are 100% accurate. The style of the buildings merges nicely into the jungle, their ecological approach is transparent and visible. The beds are extremely comfortable and offer mosquito nets (in addition to all windows and doors being equipped with them as well). The restaurant offers fresh, regional and very tasty dishes for a reasonable price (and good variety) which is important as there is little else around. The pool and facilities are well-kept and inviting. And they even have a little zoo (a cat and a parrot freely strolling the yard, turtles and fishes). And the staff is very friendly, service-oriented and goes out of their way to make your stay pleasurable (special shout-out and thanks to Santiago). A small paradise in the jungle, we regretted not being able to stay longer.

Offering a private beach area, Playa Pikua Ecolodge is a solar-powered property situated in Guachaca between two rivers and the Caribbean sea. Santa Marta is 40 km away and Tayrona Natural Park is within a 10 minute drive. Free private parking is available on site. It is only a few steps from the sea! The hosts are super friendly and very eager to help. The hut was cleaned every single day, with new bed sheets, which is just amazing as sand inevitably gets inside everwhere. There are loads of sunbeds and chairs of the property and a nice comunal area for relaxing. We ditched Salento for this place and could not have been happier. Salento does not even come close to the tranquility and beauty around here. The next “door” restaurant was one of the best we had in Colombia with very affordable prices.

With garden views, Playa Mareygua Hostal is situated in Buritaca and has a restaurant, a shared lounge, bar, garden and terrace. The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge.

There is a fully equipped private bathroom with shower and free toiletries. Loved the quietness, perfect location, totally affordable and very nice family running the business.

Located in Buritaca, Paraiso Ahimsa provides accommodation with free WiFi and a garden with a terrace and sea views.

The nearest airport is Simón Bolívar International, 69 km from the lodge, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. We loved our stay at Paraiso Ahimsa. Waking up in that beautiful location was like a dream. I loved watching the sunrise to the chorus of birds. I didn’t want to leave and definitely will return. I loved the view, the architecture, the decor, the host, the location, the nature, the multiple decks, hammocks, everything!

An à la carte breakfast is available every morning at the lodge. Finca Cuipo is magical, and the wonderfully warm hosts only add to the stunning natural setting. I stayed 3 nights and was sad to leave on the final morning. I can’t wait to return again soon!

Featuring sea views, Reserva Atashi in La Poza features accommodation, a garden, a terrace and a restaurant.

A children's playground is available on site and hiking can be enjoyed within close proximity of the lodge. Superb little cabaña in the middle of the jungle. Wake up to the sound of birds and monkeys. I spent a lot of time relaxing on the balcony, as well as talking to Jorge and his family. They are wonderful hosts, very kind and generous. It's a happy place!

Offering a barbecue and terrace, Entre Bosques Tayrona is set in Los Naranjos, 37 km from Santa Marta. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant and outdoor swimming pool. Free private parking is available on site. Very peaceful and private location in the middle of the forest. Very friendly staff :-)
