Located on Mamori River, Dolphin Lodge offers fishing, an on-site restaurant and a daily buffet breakfast. A rest area with hammocks can be found by the river and 24-hour front desk service is available. The food, location and rooms were all amazing. Friendly and experienced guides took you on walking and boat tours in small groups (about 4 guests and 2 guides). The variety of wildlife was amazing and we saw many dolphins as the name of the lodge suggests. We were expecting the Amazon the be hot and full of bugs. We were pleasantly surprised by the nice temperature during our stay. There were no bugs during the day and a little bit of bug spray was all we needed to feel comfortable at night. Less bugs than camping around Rio de Janerio! Overall the Amazon was a safe and comfortable trip and we would highly recommend Dolphin Lodge!

This lodge is located on the banks of Paraná do Mamori River, near the lakes of Tracajá, Juma, and Tucumã. To reach it, it takes 2.5 hours by car and boat from Manaus, which is 70 km away. It’s located deep into the jungle. The entire property is a floating house. Staff are very friendly. Food is local and super delicious. Learned so much about the animals and fauna. Learned a lot about local people as well.
