The rooms were nice and offered enough space together with the living room that could be used at any time. Free tea and fresh water available at any time. The private onsen was great, especially after coming back after a cold day sight seeing. The free bread breakfast was delicious. The stay was the highlight of our trip!

The room is old-style (e.g. no Washlet) but well-kept and clean. I'm glad they have a private onsen which is rare! and they kept it nice and clean (but remember to bring the hairdryer from the room...). The free bread breakfast is delicious, way beyond our expectations!

I saw some deer on my way back from the nearby Onsen! - Reactivity and empathy of the owner who offered to relocate me closer to the other Park Lodge next to the station due to the heavy snow.

Cozy loungewear provided, onsen on the second floor. Food prep, presentation and service is exceptional. The hotel is in need of updating but that is part of its charm. Located directly across from lake with rental boats and a tour boat that runs regularly and stops a few places where passengers can follow walking paths to waterfalls. There is even a little onsen close by (about five minutes on foot). I really enjoyed the possiblity to get not only breakfast but also dinner. After a long day of sightseeing, it is great to be able to get dinner without having to venture in search of a restaurant. There is a reasonable selection of dishes as well, and breakfast and dinner are great times to have a chat with the other guests.
