The house was spacious and comfortably furnished. The beds were very comfortable with high quality linen. The villa is close to Lotte Arai resort (about 5 minute drive) and the managers of the villa were extremely helpful in arranging transport for our group with a neighbour, who was charming and helpful. The manager also arranged dinner for us at a local restaurant which usually only offers lunch and this was a very special experience for us. The drying room was excellent for our ski gear. From the house are views of the surrounding rice fields and up to the mountains.

Amazing vibe and fantastic people. Great food and social atmosphere for guests. Very quiet and laid back, perfect spot if you're looking to hit the slopes all day and get a good night's rest. Transfers to and from the hills are absolutely mint. Thanks Myoko team, I'll be back next year!

Papa was amazing! He provided transportation to and from the ski resorts (Suginohara and Akakura) was there on time each and every day and took me to town to pick up supplies and food. I felt like part of the family and and Mama is an absolutely amazing cook. There kindness and goodwill exemplifies true Japanese tradition and sincerity! The owners of the lodge , Hideo and Yokan are the most wonderful and generous people. Their breakfast and dinners are beautiful and very large. I had trouble eating all of the food provided which they take great care in preparing. They regularly offer support and advice on local activities. And if they have a discount voucher for local ski rental and lift tickets they are sure to offer it. The lodge is only 150m away from the ski lifts at ikenotaria. . Very easy to walk. Easy walk to the Alpine blick spa as well for a magnificent onsen experience (they had discount vouchers for that as well). The lodge has its own onsen which was great. Bus stop from Myoko kogen station is only 400m away. As is the Myoko shuttle bus which links sugiohara and akakura onsen. The property is great value for money.
