It was lovely staying there, quite and peaceful but close to the city. With dog, perfect to stay as the woods are easily accessible. The hut and especially the front door garden of the hut with its fire place was lovely to enjoy.

Orange juice, warm croissants and bread, cereal, fruit and the most delicious yoghurt jars! The lodge was in a great location - walking distance to the castle and pubs! Letting us leave our car while we toured was appreciated. We'd highly recommend Castle Lodge for parking and an easy pleasant walk thru the park to the city center. Thank you so much

The breakfast in the morning was sufficient to get us on our way for the day. Overall we were quite happy with the lodging, good value for what we paid.

The host Mel and her family have designed it beautifully, so much attention to detail not only in design but for guests comfort too. Everything you might need from a coffee machine, milk frother (might now need to invest in one too), washing machine and dyer to Netflix!!! Home from home... & better. Main bed very comfy, very quiet, especially at night and plenty of storage to hang clothes and tidy away your suitcases if staying for longer.

Our room was tucked under the eaves and was pretty, well appointed, spacious and comfortable with a large ensuite bathroom. Our breakfast was brought to our room in a picnic basket with a generous and good choice of items. I loved the picnic basket - charming touch. Liam was very helpful and gave us good advice on what to see, where to go and how to catch live local music - a real treat as we found out later live music wasn't so easy to find.JanetYoung couple
