Excellent location, beautiful view and pretty private. Staff was very prompt when we asked them to look at the AC. They set up our taxi to the airport on departure day. Very friendly when around, but did not come around unless asked to. Loved the kitchen, deck, hammocks. 2 AC units, my friends like it colder than I, this way we were all happy.

The location is top! If you wonder if you'll get a good view, don't worry, every bumgalow has its own unique viewpoint soot towards the sea. The food is delicious, both in the hotel and in the restaurant (and once again great views). I really recommend this place, the people take great care of you and the rooms are so amazing you can sit on your balcony and observe all types of birds (including toucans).

Daniel and the rest of the staff were absolutely amazing. The hotel property was so cool...there is nothing like staying right in a rainforest right next to the Pacific Ocean. The food was great, the beach was great...we have only wonderful things to say about this place. We would 100% recommend staying here. If waking up to a fresh breakfast while parrots, hummingbirds, sloths, and monkeys hang out in the forest nearby sounds like fun, you will love this place. Getting there isn't the easiest but pulling up to a beach by boat to get dropped off at your accommodation is about as incredible as it gets for me.

Shirley absolutely makes this place! I've traveled quite a bit and I've stayed in a lot of hotel/lodges, but I've never met such accommodating hosts! Our luggage was temporarily lost when we initially arrived, it was a whole fiasco, but Shirley and Claudio took care of the whole thing and coordinated with the airport for us. Claudio is a fantastic chef and I would highly recommend making dinner reservations. I genuinely cannot say enough good things about Shirley and the rest of the people working here, they were all super kind and made our stay here very enjoyable. Our room was pretty basic but it was very clean and had a great view from the balcony. There's no A/C but each bed had a fan so it wasn't really an issue.

If you are looking for a quiet and remote location to relax and unwind, this is the place to be! The lodges are located right at the beach with great ocean view. The shared kitchen allows you to prepare your own food, while the breakfast will be provided to your liking. Best part about this stay are the caring hosts, who will make sure that you have a great experience, for example by managing tours to the national park or diving excursions.

Great place to stay. the trails are amazing lots of birds and animals to watch. there is a River with amazing pools where you can take a swim. good food and great tours.

Everything! Amazing views, very kind staff (especially Abel who always helped us with our questions), clean rooms, good breakfast, great location where we always heard the waves from the beach. We had a lovely diving tour to Caño Island as the hotel partnered with a great dive shop. We could always ask questions, also through WhatsApp. Before our stay, we received all the important information about the property, possible tours, credit card fees when booking tours/buying breakfast/using any other services, and how to get there. Las Cotingas even checked whether we could arrive by car or whether we should take the boat from Sierpe. When we arrived, staff helped us with our luggage and explained everything from (not) drinking tap water, where to fill our bottles, and when we could have breakfast. We cannot confirm the bad reviews about payment or lack of cleanliness. We paid by credit card and were charged exactly what booking said it would be (rate + tax which wasn’t included in the total price but showed during the booking, no hidden fees). We do recommend bringing along a lot of cash as there are high credit card fees otherwise and our room looked exactly as in the room gallery (not the overall gallery - there are different room categories!). We can definitely recommend Las Cotingas!
