It was in the heart of downtown Blacksburg, walking distance to restaurants, Virginia Tech, etc. and close to Cascade Falls (a fantastic hike and waterfall). Also, it was nice to stay at a smaller facility that is a not cookie-cutter chain hotel. Liked the suite-style set up over one large room. Friendly staff, easy parking.

I've been staying here whenever we have Virginia Tech business or leisure visits (over 10 yrs). This property has outdoor seating that is garden like, an indoor bar area AND several indoor gathering areas that feel private. You can have peaceful quiet relaxation, swim/workout, do your work, or bring friends to meet you there for a bit of low key entertaining.

The breakfast was also very good and highly recommended. The room was cozy and the bed was comfortable. A nice place to stay. I plan to stay here more often when I visit Blacksburg in the future.
