Do your homework.
Do your homework. We avoided downtown SF after a shooting and other police activity so we were looking for something to do in Oakland. We found the Jack London Square and were very interested to see what we could see. Sadly, there wasn't much there except high end restaurants. We expected to see and do something, anything, but simply walked around, looking at views that were half shipping yards. I'd venture to guess that in 5 years the area will be hopping with activity but until then, there isn't anything to do there except to pay way to much for food you won't enjoy.JimUnited States of America
