Battery Park leads right to the ferry that takes you over...
Battery Park leads right to the ferry that takes you over the Statue of Liberty 🗽. The wait is EXTREMELY LONG!!! So pack some patients. Then you have to go through customs that’s another process. But Once on the ferry the ride is quick. They have barricaded where you’re no longer able to get close to the statue. Some say Trump I forced it and others say due to hurricane Sandy. But neither way you’re not getting on the grass.

Hotel is really clean and the rooms are nice and big, breakfast is superb and what is a bonus is the happy hour when you get free beers and wine from 4 to5 so very nice after all day walking :) The best seller of the hotel is the staff- Jeffrey and Hana at reception are the best. Whatever we needed they helped us. I would definitely recommend it to any of my friends

We didn't spend a fortune for a nice big room with a nice bathroom too. Location in the heart of the Financial District is just perfect and a step away from Battery Park where you can enjoy beautiful sunsets. It's also very well connected both with Brooklyn and the rest of Manhattan and the neighborhood is much less busy than central Manhattan. We could also grab free coffee in the lobby every morning, which was great.

Get down to Battery Park early to catch the Statue Cruise ferry. We thought the one we were on (the first, at 8.30am) was full until we saw the ones coming towards us on the way back! By getting there early and heading straight to the Statue of Liberty itself we minimised the queuing and got to Ellis Island before it filled up, too.
