Loved the tour of the homes with an Alaskan native...It made the experience so worthwhile. I suggest to get more of this experience that you take photos of the signage both outside and inside and then spend time later studying the information provided to learn more about these special cultures.

Located a few miles outside of town but well worth the trip. If you want to get past the main hall and theater to see the small village exhibits, plan on lots of walking. Small museum is very informative.

This place was far better than anticipated and I did expect good things from it. The thing that really added to the visit was that they had people in all parts of the center ready to answer questions about Alaskan native heritage and culture. A lot of these people were young people who really knew what they were talking about and excelled at getting the information over.
