If u want afew souvenirs go here as majority of the shops are priced but u should still ask for a discount( in Thailand u always barter….offer half and work up to somewhere in between). The market by the pier is over priced.Better value here

My highlight of Lanta Old Town was the local history museum...
My highlight of Lanta Old Town was the local history museum detailing the history of the various peoples who have inhabited Ko Lanta. Although little of the information is presented in English, the curator is happy to take any number of guests on a personal tour, explaining the exhibits and answering questions as you go. His enthusiasm for the material is infectious!PaulNew Zealand

There is a little shop at reception that sells drinks, snacks and cup noodles. The roadside restaurant right opposite the entrance to the hotel makes amazing and cheap local food.

A really nice free breakfast was provided in the morning consisting of eggs, toast and fruit with a hot drink. There is a lovely view of the sea from the veranda jutting out onto the water at this guesthouse, which is a nice place to unwind.LLukeUnited Kingdom

And although the resort is located next to the big road, it feels like a hidden paradise. Kind staff, wifi worked well, good scooters available for rental, restaurants and 7 eleven nearby.
