I guess there are 2 ways to enter Ksar Ait Ben Haddou.
I guess there are 2 ways to enter Ksar Ait Ben Haddou. The river was dry when we came (November 2019) so we were able to cross without using the bridge. However, there was an old man there charging 20 MAD per person to enter although this place is free for tourists. It is very interesting how these people live in these houses.

Traveling over the Atlas and spending time around Ait Ben...
Traveling over the Atlas and spending time around Ait Ben Haddou added a very important and different element to our overall Moroccan trip. If you have a car, consider returning to Marrakech via the smaller, north route, that reconnects with the N9 highway. The route is packed with Berber villages and remarkable scenery. Would be hard to find this turn-off when coming down the Atlas towards Ait Ben Haddou, but generally a good road.RolfSouth Africa

The place is near the Ksar Ait-Ben-Haddou, but not in the village, which is even better, as we have to cross the dry river bed by car to reach the hotel, just 2Km from the main road in a dusty but in good condition road. We can walk from the hotel to the Ksar through the dry river, it's just 30 minutes of a nice walk. And after the walk we always can go to the pool...
