It is in a quiet part of town, so the nights were not noisy even with the windows open. The location is quite good, accessible to Otaru Canal, Otaru Music Box Museum, Otaru Station, if you are willing to go up/down hill a little, roughly 15-25 mins of brisk walking to any of those places. Nevertheless, it was not an issue to take a short train ride to Otaru station. Hotel is on a grand scale with large rooms and a huge dining area. The staff was very helpful with a few English speakers.
