Stay there instead of in Rome. SO CLOSE to AIRPORT! I stayed at a BNB. The owner drove me to airport the next morning! less than 15 minute drive. WOW. PS: The ruins are amazing AND a short Metro ride to all the sights in Rome, too!

Rooms were all a good size with en suites. Access into the property was easy, with parking easily found on the road. Very clean, bedding changed every day which we were not expecting. Great location for exploring the local area if you have a car, good base to go view Ostia Antica archaeological site. Cafe below was very good, coffee was delicious.
