Veoma zahtjevan uspon kada se krene od mora sa "nule" do vidikovca na Vošcu koji je na 1422 mnv. Prelijep masiv. Super pogled sa vrha Sv. Jure. Preporuka da se krene oko 5 ujutro jer treba nekih 4 sata do vrha zbog velike visinske razlike.

Absolutely "must seen" in Makarska.
Absolutely "must seen" in Makarska. But only for people without fear of heights ;) Entrance 50 kuna. A ride up top lasts about hour and requires good driving skills. On a top a little bit colder then in the city.

I think the Biokovo Mountain is incredible.
I think the Biokovo Mountain is incredible. They are stunning & take my breath away everytime I gaze at them. You can climb them too, but if you want a serious climb, I'd probably recommend a guided climb to start with.

To the peak Sveti Jure you can walk directly from "ground zero", you have two options and you can make a "giro" route. For cyclists you go to Biokovo national park (pay entrance fee) and then you cycle to the top. From Makarska-riva 32 km, avg.grade 6-7%. Expect winds and cold weather so take something warm with you for downhill + something to drink&eat, because on top there is nothing!!except one shelter, but I do not know opening hours. There is one mini hut beside road, it may be open on weekends.SašaSlovenia

- 9.0Scored 9.0WonderfulRated wonderful· 55 reviews- I checked location before booking so was aware of the distance and steep hill - rewarded by a beautiful view to Biokovo mountain and the sea from the terrace - very quiet location, close to Vepric sanctuary and picturesque St. Jeronim church - good departure to walking trails to Bast or Makar with amazing views - electric kettle, fridge and utensil available in the room to prepare breakfast or salads, otherwise there is a shared kitchen on a lower terrace (I did not use it) - friendly owner

A nice and comfortable room with all the necessities. There is a beach very near and a cheap all-day car parking, which is a great deal.
