The castle tour is rich with history.
The castle tour is rich with history. You will need to enter the castle grounds to watch the changing of the guard so make sure you leave enough time ahead of the event to get tickets and get over to the area where the guard change happens.

The day we went it was very overcrowded, very hot and we were rushed through the chapel, in one door out the other and were not allowed to stop to see anything because if we dared to stop we were told to move on, after travelling half way around the world and paying good money it was a terrible experience, eventually we left in anger and vowed never to return.

Lovely Castle. Shame the chappel was closed for the day.
Lovely Castle. Shame the chappel was closed for the day. I think we should have been told that before booking as it is amazing and a good part of the castle visit. I would have the audio to go around and find out more about it. Cafe is very busy at lunch time so go early and get a table. Watch out for their umberella's they are expensive and don't work very well.

A nice place to visit.
A nice place to visit. I can't help to ponder as we walked through the streets seeing all the poverty around and yet the Queen and her minions have SO much wealth but seem unwilling to share. Sad.

Try the Windsor ice cream which is on sale near to the state rooms entrance, the salted caramel is one of the best I have had.
The staff inside the castle are very knowledgeable and approachable for questions and sharing their royal experiences.

On a hot day, don’t go at the busy times.
On a hot day, don’t go at the busy times. We saw queues in 30deg heat 45 minutes before the doors open! Don’t be one of those. Do your homework and go when it is not so busy. The Castle deserves you to savour it.

This spacious apartment was very impressive and comfortable in quiet leafy area of Windsor, close to town, 15 min walk from Windsor Castle. Beds are very comfortable. Host was contacted at one point and he was friendly and attentive.
Had an issue with the key box on arrival but a swift call to the owner resolved, just very stiff. Detailed instructions to gain access to apartment. We were in a rush to get to an event at Windsor castle the next morning and managed to leave a case behind, The owner contacted me immediately upon discovery and we arranged collection after my event. Very helpful and accommodating!
An excellent apartment very comfortable equipped with everything you need for your stay. Would definitely stay again
Very friendly and efficient staff. The Hotel looks a little tired from the outside- the inside is totally different, very clean, beautiful decor, very chic.
Bar , lounge and restaurant very comfortable- breakfast good choice, all freshly cooked and very tasty.
Hotel is an easy 10 minute walk into the centre & Windsor Castle - 2 minutes walk from the long walk- great location .
Highly recommend this hotel
It is literally just on the other side of the Windsor Castle wall. Easy to walk to restaurants, pubs, and the Castle entrance. Very quiet at night. Great place to stay. Better than most apartments that I used to live in.
The apartment was perfect especially the location. Sitting looking out at Windsor castle was magical. There was everything you needed to cook full meals although we ate out in the evenings. Jonathon, the host was extremely helpful. We would recommend this apartment without a doubt.
The hotel is about as close as you can get to Windsor Castle and the town centre. Very easy walking distance. The hotel is quirky in its layout but very professionally run.
Wanted somewhere to stay in Windsor with a friend and our 5 year olds - didn’t want to be split up in hotel rooms. Flat was perfect for the kids to spend time together and a great location for Legoland and Windsor Castle. Really clean and quiet. Host was very responsive to messages. We had a lovely break.
We couldn't have been happier.. The apartment was approx 6 min walk to the town centre and windsor castle. It was big and spacious for 3 of us and spotlessly clean. The beds and pillows were very comfy.
The communication from the owner was excellent 👌
The domestic goddess that worked in the house was friendly, attentive, courteous and always had a welcoming smile.
There are excellent bus routes right outside the door which made it easy getting to Legoland.
If we ever visit Windsor again we will definitely stay at the Windsorian.
Met by the helpful and friendly host who arranged the parking, handed over the keys and showed us the apartment and facilities. The apartment was clean, spacious with lots of facilities for a self-catering stay, good Wi-Fi and a view of Windsor Castle, perfect for our stay. It was less than 5 mins away from Legoland which was our reason for the visit. Highly recommended for families or couples visiting Legoland / Windsor area. Less than 15 mins from the M4 motorway. Preferred to hotel stay.
Location was great - a very short walk into town, and equally a very short walk to the park outside Windsor Castle. Apartment was spotless and great for a short break with kids - a welcome change from hotel rooms!
