The hotel is in Llangollen town centre, looking out over the River Dee. It mixes original character with modern comforts, including free Wi-Fi, free parking and a riverside garden.

We were pleasantly surprised to have a 4 poster bed.

A 15-minute drive from Chester's historical centre, Grosvenor has a spa, a pool and a gym. Near the Welsh border, Grosvenor Pulford has free Wi-Fi, spacious rooms and beautiful grounds.

It was very posh and they had bath bombs and shower melts.

Situated in one of the oldest streets in Llangollen and a few seconds from the high street, Gales has individual en suite bedrooms.
