Ate in the Waterside restaurant which was very busy but food was good. The breakfast was excellent. Staff all very pleasant and helpful. We used it as a base to visit Chirk Castle and Attingham Hall.

Location is great with easy walking to train station and short drive to the marina to pick up the narrow boat. A longer but pleasant walk to Chirk castle. The owner was very helpful to give 6 people and baggage a lift to the Marina which was appreciated.

We had a really good nights sleep, and the location meant it was easy to get onto the A5 the next morning. Very good for visiting Chirk Castle & the aqueduct too.

We took the dog and there were designated areas inside the hotel for dogs as well as a lovely garden. Excellent location within the village opposite a lovely park and close to amenities. We took the car to Chirk Castle which was well worth the visit. Staff very helpful and friendly, good choice of breakfast.
