Allow at least 2 days, ask the costumed volunteers/staff, wear comfy shoes and just enjoy this amazing place. Everyone we stopped and asked questions of were more than happy to explain what they were doing such as making nails or chains. In a lot of the houses and businesses there were people who knew the history of the building in which they stood and the people who used to live or earn their living there. The care and attention to detail in this place is second to none. It brings the industrial revolution truly to life. We paid the small extra charge on the first day that enables you to return for free within 12 months so we went back the next day and we would go again if we were in the area.

The spa was very nice and the massages were very good although the they had run out of towels so it might be worth bringing your own. The breakfast was plentiful and the staff in the restaurant were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a good location very close to the Black Country Living Museum and Dudley Zoo.

We also had breakfast in the morning which was amazing. The staff is very friendly. The location is great, just 10 min from the museum by walking. The price is fair.
