Just like from the beginning of the 20th century. Not like many modern hotels that lack some personality.

The apartment was wonderful and comfortable. It fit our family of 7 with plenty of room. Comfortable beds and bedrooms, three toilets, huge dining area, and kitchen with washing machine. We loved walking to the Reina Sofia park and museums, and the morning we left, we walked to the Atocha train station, which was so easy and handy.

The bathroom did have a nice big bathtub, which is something you usually don't find nowadays. The hotel is somewhat close to the Atocha train station, with "somewhat" being the operative word. Still, it's a good 12-15 walk from the train station, assuming you're walking at a brisk pace and assuming you don't get lost (which is easy to do because the streets are not well-marked).

My husband and I chose a double room and we had fantastic views on the 5th floor, with plenty of windows to see the Atocha train station and other landmarks. A quick five minute walk from the train station to the hostel. The park is five minutes away and absolutely lovely to walk through.
