Small grocery 15 min walk away.We were prepared for the thirty minute walk (no hills) from the train station, which included beautiful gardens and typical Austrian style houses. A bus between Obertraun and Hallstatt operates often for 2.50 euros or it’s an hour long walk. Near hiking trails and Dachstein Krippenstein.

It is very accessible (right in front of the cable car to the top), and very close to the Five Fingers lookout point. There are great hiking trails all around, including hikes that lead to another cable car which returns right back to the Lodge. Dinner was available until 19:30 (very delicious!) and breakfast until 9:30. Everything was very clean, the staff were very warm and welcoming. We loved this lodge and will definitely return when we visit again!
