The property was in a perfect location on the promenade just steps away to shops and the harbour. The reception staff Michelle made us feel so welcomed so much so we wished we could stay another night! The bar staff Allan and another fellow who took our dinner order (did not get his name) we’re exceptional! They were so friendly, attentive and again made us feel so welcomed. The room was immaculate and loved the added touch of ear plugs!
Room was cozy and clean Had dinner at the restaurant. It was absolutely delicious! The breakfast was equally fantastic.
Location was excellent. Good value for money. Spacious and clean room. Breakfast and dinner were very nice as well.
Amazing little hotel in a very quite spot, but still very close to city centre. Comfy rooms, with nice selection of coffee, tea ( they had Barrys!:) and hot chocolate, also bottles of water, which was a really nice touch. Staff was nothing short of fantastic, very attentive and helpful. Food in the restaurant on site was very nice (we had dinner) and breakfast in the morning had a great selection. Will 100 percent stay again when in Derry next.
The room was comfortable and not too hot at night which I didn't like about other hotels where I stayed. Breakfast was delicious on both mornings at 8am. Dinner was tasty on the first night but I thought it was expensive for the size of portion. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout the visit. There was a lovely view of Derry from my bedroom and bathroom window. The hotel was walking distance from the location of my meetings.
dinner & breakfast really good
Spotlessly clean bedrooms/bathrooms which included iron and ironing board. Dinner and breakfast were great. For anyone needing accommodation for appointments at Kingsbridge Hospital it couldn't be more convenient, the hospital is just across the road.
Everything was grand, enjoyed our stay, hot showers, great breakfast. Friendly staff. Parking nearby. Had dinner in restaurant (additional cost) was nice.
We had breakfast daily and it was wonderful We had dinner at the carvery once and it was very good Staff was exceptional
room itself is fine for size and very clean in main room. beautiful room view dinner food above and beyond expectations chef to be praised, as are waiting staff breakfast good self service and staff mixture ,large selection ,staff excellent excellent music playing and we were there at St Patricks so very busy too easy access to town attractions, taxis very reasonable as well for any travel all staff engaging very nice and knowledgeable
The staff are very friendly, and the breakfast is delicious. The Iona Inn is a no-frills guest house, it does exactly what it says on the tin. There is a nice bar downstairs also, great for relaxing in after a day out walking the walls of the city.
