With rooms overlooking the river Wyre, The Cartford Inn is a former 17th-century coaching inn, situated on the banks of the River Wyre on Lancashire's Fylde Coast. The rooms were large and well appointed. The staff could not do enough for us. Dining was a treat. One of the best places we have stayed.

Formally an 18th century coaching inn, The Fleece Inn includes original features such as old oak beams and fireplaces. Lancaster city centre is a 15-minute drive, and the university is just 6km away. What a find! The Fleece Inn far exceeded our expectations! The room was spacious, clean and decorated to a high standard. The staff were very friendly. Our dog was welcome. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful too.

This 17th century, luxury, boutique hotel is the only 4-star hotel in the centre of Lancaster, and is superbly situated in the heart of the city centre. I think that the pub and inn have lots of local charm. It is fun to stay around there. The bed was also extremely comfortable. I look forward to coming back in the future!
