Set in Shotley Bridge and with Beamish Museum reachable within 23 km, The Manor House Inn offers a garden, allergy-free rooms, free WiFi and a bar. Staff were amazing. We had a great afternoon and evening at the inn. The Sunday roast was the best we have had in the UK. The room was spacious, spotless and tastefully decorated. We stopped on the way from Edinburgh for an overnight stop. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer.

Situated in Bishop Auckland, 43 km from Beamish Museum, The Saxon Inn features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. Everything! So clean and nice and the staff was very accommodating!

Located in Darlington and with Middlesbrough Cathedral reachable within 22 km, The Devonport provides express check-in and check-out, non-smoking rooms, a restaurant, free WiFi and a bar. The Hotel was a little hard to find as there were a lot of roadworks close to Darlington on A66 and the sat-nav kept bringing me back to a road that had been closed off. We eventually took an alternate route to end up at the Hotel. This had nothing to do with the hotel but anyone else travelling to this destination should be aware. Check-in was very quick and we were shown to our very spacious room with nice views from the window. The room was very clean and comfortable and we had a very peaceful sleep. We ate dinner at the hotel and the food was delicious. Breakfast was wonderful and Julie made sure everything was to our liking and made us aware of the many local areas to visit. Not having enough time on this trip we will definitely visit the area again using the Davenport as our base. Thanks Julie and all the staff.

Set in Castle Eden, 2.3 km from Crimdon Beach, The Ship inn offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a restaurant. The ship inn's location/accommodation/gardens and breakfast was excellent, couldn't ask for nicer,such welcoming hosts my wife and I felt like we were part of the furniture and most certainly will be coming back again 😃

Set in Durham and within 20 km of Beamish Museum, The City Hotel has a bar, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi. Great accommodation above a bar! The room was quite lovely, with a nice view out of the window and nice decorations inside the room. The welcoming sweets in the room were a nice touch. All amenities in the room was good. I could not ask for a better location. Felt very safe in the area. It is right in the area with restaurants, cafes, and shops. Walking distance from the train station as well. I would certainly stay here again on my next visit.

Situated 5 minutes’ drive from the County Durham coastline, The Seaton Lane Inn - The Inn Collection Group features free on-site parking and is just over 10 miles from Durham city centre. Very comfortable and friendly accommodation will definitely stay again

The Kingslodge Inn - The Inn Collection Group offers a cosy bar, a restaurant and easy access to Durham city centre. There is free parking on-site. Great location. Very friendly staff. Nice breakfast. Close to the city. Comfortable room. Definitely return here.
