The Hotel was a little hard to find as there were a lot of roadworks close to Darlington on A66 and the sat-nav kept bringing me back to a road that had been closed off. We eventually took an alternate route to end up at the Hotel. This had nothing to do with the hotel but anyone else travelling to this destination should be aware. Check-in was very quick and we were shown to our very spacious room with nice views from the window. The room was very clean and comfortable and we had a very peaceful sleep. We ate dinner at the hotel and the food was delicious. Breakfast was wonderful and Julie made sure everything was to our liking and made us aware of the many local areas to visit. Not having enough time on this trip we will definitely visit the area again using the Davenport as our base. Thanks Julie and all the staff.

The room was quite lovely, with a nice view out of the window and nice decorations inside the room. The welcoming sweets in the room were a nice touch. All amenities in the room was good. I could not ask for a better location. Felt very safe in the area. It is right in the area with restaurants, cafes, and shops. Walking distance from the train station as well. I would certainly stay here again on my next visit.
