The place has been designed to such a high finish and while the service was brilliant, none of the staff are in any way pretentious - it was all just very relaxed and delightful.

Located 8 miles from the historic cities of Bath and Bristol, The Carpenters Arms is in the tranquil and scenic hamlet of Stanton Wick, near the village of Pensford, in the heart of the Chew Valley... Dinner, room and breakfast were all excellent. Good communication with the establishment prior to arrival - eg recommendation for dinner reservation.

Wheelwrights Arms Country Inn & Pub is situated in the peaceful village of Monkton Combe, surrounded by picturesque hills and valleys. Beautiful room, peaceful surroundings, excellent meal! We arrived very early but our host made us feel welcomed and comfortable. We also appreciated our host’s wonderful suggestions for hikes. We left our stay with smiles on our faces.

With landscaped gardens and picturesque views over the River Avon, this pub offers individually designed guest accommodation. Parking is free on site, and there is free Wi-Fi throughout the building. I have never spent Christmas in a hotel so this was a new experience for me. But I loved every single minute there. The staff were absolutely lovely, friendly and accomadating 👏 We had a few meals there with family joining us and the food was fantastic 😋 Due to covid it was probably quieter than normal? The hotel has a very warm and cosy feel perfect for a Christmas away from home. Loved the decor too! We also had a nice balcony which I'm sure will be lovely in nicer weather. Guys well done 👏 loved it and we will be back.

We found this hotel very clean and beds very comfortable with everything we needed. Breakfast was prompt and delicious! Will be booking again!

The Bear in Bath offers luxurious accommodation in addition to its relaxing restaurant and bar. The room was clean, tastefully decorated, well-equipped and cool. Having the restaurant downstairs was convenient. The staff were friendly and helpful.
