They always asked what time we want breakfast so it was fast and tasty.

Just 4 miles from Bath, The Wheatsheaf Combe Hay is a West Country inn dating back to the 1500s. Perfect breakfast. Selective sourcing I would guess. Freshly prepared, caring and charming service reflecting good traditional standards.

Located 8 miles from the historic cities of Bath and Bristol, The Carpenters Arms is in the tranquil and scenic hamlet of Stanton Wick, near the village of Pensford, in the heart of the Chew Valley... Dinner, room and breakfast were all excellent. Good communication with the establishment prior to arrival - eg recommendation for dinner reservation.

With landscaped gardens and picturesque views over the River Avon, this pub offers individually designed guest accommodation. Parking is free on site, and there is free Wi-Fi throughout the building. Beautiful, spacious rooms; lovely, helpful staff. And the conservatory! We will definitely be back.

Restaurant Food was very good indeed. The bar was a small village bar with a wonderful friendly atmosphere. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Bed super comfortable, very clean rooms and tea coffee tray very well stocked. Fans are supplied in the rooms (so regards old comments about rooms being hot ) this was NOT an issue for us. The Bear in Bath offers luxurious accommodation in addition to its relaxing restaurant and bar. The location is very convenient for Bath - a 20 min walk although it’s not flat it’s lovely. There is a small car park for guests and the pub does great food. The room was gorgeous and very comfy - we had the best night’s sleep ever! It was a real treat to have a bath as well as a shower plus tea and coffee makings in the room.
