Located in the centre of Tesserete, the family-run Ristorante Stazione is just 50 metres from Tesserete Train Station. Fantastic place. For sure simpler than a big name hotel but super friendly, clean and comfortable. For me it was the perfect place to stay in a beautiful area. Super happy.

Situated right at the lake promenade, only a few steps from the ship mooring and Locarno's Piazza Grande, the Al Pozz offers you superb views of Lake Maggiore. I loved the attention to detail and all the help with travelling from another country. I even got quick answers to questions before I arrived. ‘Great holiday destination, close to much dining.

Beautiful little hamlet in the mountains. Food was absolutely spectacular, a real treat, both, dinner and breakfast. Local products are delightful! Hosts are very warm and kind people. Rooms are very simple and clean. Views from rooms are outstanding. Hike was excellent! We will certainly come back!

Locanda Gandriese is set in Gandria, within 26 km of Mendrisio Station and 27 km of Villa Carlotta. Amazing view! Clean and comfortable room. Great location.

Ristorante le bucce di Gandria is 5 km away from Lugano’s centre, offering free Wi-Fi and parking, and housing a restaurant with a terrace serving Mediterranean dishes. Very nice place with beautiful view. Staff is friendly and helpful. Everything was super clean. The bus stop is near, so no problem to travel here without car. Some cookies, yogurts, coffee and tea for breakfast. I love this place :)

Offering panoramic views over the Leventina Valley, this typical Ticinese stone building in the village of Anzonico features a restaurant with a terrace. Hiking trails are just steps away. Very cute room under the wooden roof in this small village on top of the hill. We had also a very nice dinner and brekfast at the hotel restaurant , prepared by Claudia and her husband. All local food, very tasty. Their pasta with vegetables is very special :-) You cannot reach the hotel directly with the car: you should park it in the parking lot just outside the village and walk the last 200 mt. Google would try to take you all the way there with the car, but it is not possible! At the parking lot you find a sign that indicates the direction to reach the Osteria. Make sure you have your mobile phone with you for some light in the parts of the walk where there is no public light.
