Extremely friendly and welcoming. It is a great location in the peaceful countryside but with easy access to Appenzell and all of the nearby lifts. Breakfast is included, and a lovely restaurant offers delicious meals. Corinne was a fantastic host.

L’Adler Hotel occupe un magnifique bâtiment traditionnel de style appenzellois près du centre piétonnier du village d’Appenzell. We loved staying in this hotel! The hotel was close to the train station and in the center part of town. The rooms were very nice and very clean, and the staff was awesome as they were more than willing and even went out of their way to answer our questions and help us in any way they could. The breakfast was delicious with lots of great options to choose from.

We stayed 2 nights beginning of June. If you like traditional places, you should visit Waldgasthaus Lehmen. You would be surrounded by natural forest with a view on Appenzell Alps. One of the most common sound during the day is various bells on cow necks. We were lucky to see how Appenzell farmers bring their cows to the mountains. The farmers have very beautiful cloths! On Saturday we saw a group of farmers, who came in their traditional dresses to Lehmen restaurant and had a few hours of singing and enjoying food. The restaurant is very good, if you like Swiss food. You must be hiking in that region, otherwise food might be too heavy. I had pork steak, pork schnitzel and beef steak with noodles and mushrooms. All dishes were very tasty. You have to try local beer! And Lehmen whisky! Highly recommended! Very nice! Service is impeccable, fast and attentive. All personnel is very friendly. Breakfast is wonderful! I would prefer, if it started at 7 instead of 8… Our room 17 was great, soft pillows, comfy beds, bath, simple but cozy design. The hotel has a playground for kids. Parking is huge.

Entouré d'un parc avec une pelouse bien exposée et une aire de jeux, l'Hotel Restaurant Belvedere est un établissement de style palais bénéficiant d'un emplacement paisible à Weissbad. The location was ideal. The owner and his wife and staff were very kind and helpful.

Situé au pied du massif Säntismassiv et de la montagne de Kronberg, le Landgasthof Eischen, rénové en 2012, dispose d'un restaurant traditionnel d'Appenzell avec une terrasse et d'un espace spa. The view was amazing, room was so comfortable and the entire property was beautiful! The staff was so kind and welcoming too!
