I loved how it was decorated. The room was excellent! Self check-in was easy, I didn’t see the staff but I spoke to them on the phone and they were helpful.

Captain’s Inn is our favorite place to stay when we visit Moss Landing. It’s super convenient for us as we enjoy the wildlife photography opportunities in the area. The room is charming and quiet with a lovely view of the Salinas River!

We checked in at around 10pm and at the counter it was posted that the front desk is only from 9am-9pm. We called the number posted and the staff was super helpful. Check in went smoothly even though it was remote! Facilities are comfortable as well. Nothing to complain about. The floor size was also big for an inn.

Wonderful colonial style inn right next to the beach behind the sand dunes. Everything is extremely nice and well organised, rooms were spotless clean, beds comfortable. We loved our fireplace and we enjoyed the common room even more. Everything is sailing/shipping themed, we loved it so much.

Very nicely decorated- goes along with time period without being old fashioned and dated. We liked that you could sit and look out on the water. We walked to a local restaurant for dinner. We thought the are was charming!

The Inn was tucked away in a quiet peaceful location off of hwy 1 close to the harbor. The room was clean and fresh. Loved the picture windows over looking the river with a seating area equipped with binoculars to observe the wildlife . We saw a harbor seal, otters and tons of birds. Also loved the soaking tub. The bed was very comfortable. I can't say enough about this place. We are looking forward to a return trip in 2022!

Conveniently located on Monterey Bay, the Inn is close to Elkhorn Slough for wildlife viewing on foot or by kayak. It’s not far to Monterey, Pebble Beach, Carmel-by-the-Sea and Point Lobos State Park. The facilities are brand new and very clean. Development at the property has not been completed, yet, with ancillary spaces for shops, conferences, and perhaps a restaurant still under construction in summer 2021.
