Fantastic location in a historic, beautiful inn. References to Tennyson and Johnson throughout. Infrequent but good bus service from Louth and a 30 minute walk to Somersby, Tennyson's home hamlet. I can't remember a lot other than the tea was strong, the food was hearty, the landlord was jolly, the beer tasted good, I still had my wallet, watch and bike in the morning. Steak and Ale pie delicious. The owners were incredibly kind, generous with their time and had wonderful stories to share about the Inn and local area. The Inn is close to various footpaths that meander through meadow and hills. A lovely stay.

Richard, the host, was so welcoming and helpful, we really enjoyed his company. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. We had a brilliant time!
